Tired And Worn by: Melinda Chandler
Here I sit
at the end of the day
tired and worn is all i can say,
The children were happy and blissful in play,
While I watched over them today.
You see I work in childcare
Where anything can happen
and nothing is fair.
Where tears to laughter
and laughter to fear
In a blink of an eye
It all happens here.
You have to be willing to care and confide,
For they'd see right through you
If you were to lie,
For they need music and laughter,
Rhythm and rhyme,
A friend, a hero,
and a hug sometimes.
They need to be heard
they need to have fun,
At the end of the day they need to be loved.
So here I sit at the end of the day,
Tired and worn....
But wouldn't want it any other way!
